In some cases, it won’t be enough to simply clean your car to get it looking its best. This is where paint correction and surface protection comes in.
If you have swirls on your bodywork, UV damage, corrosion from bird droppings, weathering or insect mess, we will need to refine the outer coating of your bodywork, correct the paintwork, and apply the best products to ensure it is protected for longer against the elements, and of course provide a flawless shine.
The first step of surface protection is to assess the level of paint correction needed. We'll inspect the paintwork for quantity and depth of scratches, test the thickness of your paintwork and talk you through the various options before carrying out these delicate processes. This process is all about creating a perfect base for our chosen finishes.
Full correction requires heavy machine polishing in four stages, and is best suited to cars with seriously unloved paintwork, that nonetheless you want to restore to perfection (think classic/vintage or high-value vehicles that have been neglected).
Wet sanding offers the ultimate correction for badly-damaged paintwork, and will provide that amazing mirror-like glaze to your paintwork when coatings are applied.
A single-stage polish is recommended for new cars, or cars with near-perfect paintwork. Some cars will require a light machine polish, while others will get away with a deep cleansing.
This two-stage machine polish is recommended for 1—5 year old cars, which have some light swirling on the paintwork and a couple of deeper scratches. This process requires two stages of cutting and refining, to create that perfect prime for coatings.
